Edit history

Jason Lives are a Melbourne band consisting of Luke Woodhouse - vocals and bass, Joe Menzel - guitar and vocals, and Gavan Jacobs - drums. Jason Lives music is generally Punk with a hint of metal here and there. Lyrica inspiration comes from horror movies, life experiences, current world events, animal rights and their odd sense of humour. On stage they can often be seen dancing like fools and not taking themselves too seriously, while still sounding mighty fine. Throughout the years they have released 3 EPs and 2 demos, received exposure in such publications as Kerrang and Buzz, airplay on such stations as JJJ, 3BBR and Gippsland FM, and have even made a special TV appearance. Jason Lives in its current state has been going since mid 2012 but its beginnings can be traced back to 1996 with the formation of The Voorhees. Now in 2015 the band is doing what it does best on the stage and preparing for a new release in early 2015.
