Introducing Jasper's Dilemma featuring Mark Potter (vocals, guitars, keys), Chris Gatz (bass, keys) and John Talevski (drums, percussion). This rock trio blend moody, atmospheric and dirty indie guitar with tasty electronic elements and interludes. “It's dark and dynamic, balance between electronic soundscapes and a traditional rock band. Growing up in the working class inner northern suburbs of Melbourne the trio met at high school in their early teens, and have been in and out of different bands since Jasper's Dilemma solidified in '99. Reminscent of early '80s UK bands such as Depeche Mode, they cite their influences as Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and '80s hair bands. “We have gone against the grain of our surroundings,” says Potter, “the suburbs should have produced something similar to Shannon Noll or a wedding reception band... it is definitely not an arty or bohemian environment.”
