Born and raised in Cairns, far north QLD, Javan enjoyed the sounds of Disco and Motown, before encountering the influence of all mighty distortion in such bands as Smaching Pumpkins, Nirvana, Marilyn Manson and Silverchair. After moving to Brisbane in 1998, more mainstream influences starting shaping the mind of Javan Soniq. Whether the Doof Doof from the club or the soulful struming of a loan busker on a street corner, each sound stiring an ambitious fire in Javan's soul. Javan tried his hand in numerous bands before desciding to take things solo, writing and producing his own little slice of musical heaven.
