I was born in Adelaide, SA and attended Pulteney Grammar School. I moved up to Queensland in '96 and attended Somerset College on the Gold Coast. I discovered my love for music in 2003 and began taking guitar lessons. Eventually, I had to give them up due to study commitments. I didn't pick up a guitar again until 2005 (During Grade 12) and taught myself from then onwards. As for my vocals and lyrics, I've always been a singer - from my early years in the school choir and a multitude of hours singing in the car - and my love for writing was developed throughout my years in the Wordsmiths (a club at my school for young writers). When I graduated, I attended Griffith University for three years and completed my Bachelor of Arts and majored in Theatre and Writing. I was the lead singer/lyricist of a local band for a number of years and when that ended, I wanted to continue my writing and performing and decided I would take steps to furthering my solo music career.
