Hi World, Thanks for coming to check out my music. Name’s Jay Marwaha and I am British-Indian artist living in London. I’ve always been a fan of music and this year plucked up the courage to release my debut record, It Was Fun While It Lasted (available now, #shamelessplug). My record was inspired by my university years both in England and abroad. After the experience was over, I had a mixture of emotions and feelings from the collection of stories and had to document them, but they didn’t sit well as pieces of poetry or texts; music allowed me to tell some of the anecdotes with the expression of sounds. I hope you enjoy my project, and if you’re only stopping off for one song, I’d recommend Sitting in the Park. Through some of the blogs that have shared my stuff, I have been compared to Amy Winehouse, Loyle Carner, Methyl Ethyl and Jorja Smith. My voice is usually described as neo-soulful. I find it hard to describe my own sound however, I’d say it’s some story-telling stuff mixed
