Hello! My name is James. I’m a husband, father, teacher and musician. I love creating and sharing stories through music. Art has cut my heart more times than I can count. It has evoked physical, emotional and spiritual responses from as early as I can remember, whether singing hymns in church, listening to my father’s classical music records, or the punk rock of the 1990’s. I’m a little older now, but I want to begin conversations about creation, relationships, and perceptions of success. I want to empathise with you who have felt love, loss, hurt and abuse. Somehow, I’d also like to explore solutions. I want my songs to communicate with you all the stuff that is difficult to speak, but feel compelled to sing. Somehow, inexplicably, in singing and sharing, I feel the pleasure and joy of creating, and the pleasure and joy of my Creator.
