Johnny Cass has played opening spots for the likes of Paul Weller, Tony Joe White. He is also is the inspiration behind Travelling blues show called A NIGHT AT THE CROSSROAD - TRIBUTE TO ROBERT JOHNSON as well as MUDDY WATERS TRIBUTE. NEW ALBUM- Situated on a secluded farm on the South Coast, a barn with many amps and guitars is where Johnny Cass settled into recording his new album. You can hear the chickens crowing and the cows moaning. The dogs are barking and the organ is singing. The microphones are drunk and the sheep are stoned. The swamp blues sound is a mixed bag full of fat slide guitar, stomping bluegrass and tremolo guitar gospel ballads. Inspiration comes from influences such as Tom Waits, Howlin Wolf, Robert Johnson and Southern Rock of the likes of Little Feat, Black Crowes, Ry Cooder and The Band.
