At just 23 years old, Jessica Jade has spent almost a third of her life in the spotlight. Making her television debut as an X-Factor contestant at just 14, the South-West Sydney artist began reaching more global ears by uploading viral R&B covers online. Refining her intimate songwriting style, Jade then began releasing her own original material, displaying a preference for passionate R&B with infectious pop sensibilities. From defiant club-catering hits like 'I'm Good' to more vulnerable slow-burners like 'One Time', Jade has shown impressive versatility in her catalog but remains consistent in her pursuit of honest, emotionally-sound music. With Influences from Artists such as Kehlani, H.E.R and Jhene Aiko, The Release of Jess Jade’s EP, Bet in 2020 was the beginning of Jade’s exploration into her sound and identity as an artist showcasing her growth vocally on songs that reflected her love for alternative rnb with an underlying pop flavour, highlighted in ‘You’ and title track ‘Bet’, where she breaks down the complexities of love. Since the Release of Bet and enduring the effects of Covid-19, Jade spent her time creating and banking up music by refocusing ,realigning and immersing herself into her creative practice by exploring and gaining new musical influences from more dance focused genres shes set to take the Australian music scene by storm while also retaining her roots in South - West Sydney by collaborating with emerging producer Amorist and other talented artists based in the west. Jades recent release ‘Move and Switch” is a product of her growth and only gives a glimpse into her newly invented self and is indicative of her strengthened vision, as she remains true to her R&B roots with love and its complexities at the core of the lyrics, the title in itself is a reflection of her rebrand.
