Composer Jim Fox’s usually quiet, slow, lyrical, and unassuming music has been described by critics as “austere” and “ethereal” (The Wire), as well as “sensuous” and “suffused with a beautiful sadness” (Fanfare). He has music on seven Cold Blue releases, and on albums from other labels. “Jim Fox is a singular composer. His music is deep, sparkling, ecstatic, and breathaking.” (John Luther Adams)
