JMM is sticking to his roots as he begins to grow as an artist. The Australian emcee has been infatuated with hip-hop culture from an early age but has only recently begun making music and perfecting his sound. This process has resulted in a raw and organic local sound to come through in his instrumentation, while he takes cues from the American scene utilizing west coast rapper’s flair for melodies. These elements culminate in JMM’s debut single “Know the Name,” a fitting introduction to the artist. A sharp edge and bravado to boot, he is willing to assert himself in the scene no matter his level of experience as he looks to make his mark on his homeland and the entire world.
