After a bad break up, Jo Elise wanted to make something beautiful out of the wreckage. She found video footage of their final summer road trip together, using layers of voice and guitar to write a song about nostalgia and heartache. “Emotions are strong. And when I don’t know what to do with them, I turn them into music.”
