‘Forgotten Faith’ is the new single from acclaimed Sydney based avant-electronic solo musician and producer Joan Banoit, who has recently been turning heads as one half of experimental hyperpop outfit 'Patamon' alongside fashion designer and vocalist Alix Higgins. ‘Patamon’ exploded in 2021 with a series of stunning singles and have quickly become one of the country’s most hyped new experimental acts. The new single sees the first Joan Banoit release since acclaimed debut album ‘Clerical’ (described by Triple J as ‘sounding like the universe’) dropped in 2019. Drawing intimately on the origins of his musical practice in Australia and his Grandfather’s cultural heritage in Aotearoa, the track is an intense and personal meditation on the complex ways an often distant past informs every second of the here and now. Mixed by Aphir and mastered by Lawrence English.
