Joe Ransom is a songwriter from Melbourne. He has released a half dozen or so albums at a low profile. Joe has been a wanderer, having spent time living in the UK, Mexico, Honduras and is currently living and working as a teacher in the Central Desert, NT. Joe's new album The Farmyard Blues (2020) was recorded in just 4 days during Coronavirus lockdown on a farm in Axedale, Victoria. Joe explains the album: "The rate of suicide for Australian farmer men is double that of all other men in Australia. Our farmers need our support. This album was inspired by a sticker that my parents had on their freezer when I was a child.. I think it is still there. It says 'THANK A FARMER FOR YOUR NEXT MEAL!'." "I wanted to create an album that portrays the battler and larrikin character of hard working Aussie farmers. The lyrics are crazy, fun and serious. The music blends pub rock with punk rock, blues and country. Give it a crack!" Joe's albums are found at www.joeransom.bandcamp.com
