Singer/songwriter Joe Visser first appeared on the Australian music scene as a starry-eyed kid. He grew up playing local venues in his coastal home town, and supporting the likes of Sally Seltmann (New Buffalo, Seeker Lover Keeper), Bobby Alu, This Way North and others. Joe’s sound has since matured into a strong individual voice. Blending classic folk sounds with the nuances of contemporary indie music, Joe continues to broaden his horizons, and draw inspiration from wherever it may come. After a tumultuous time spent partly in the Northern Territory, but mostly in his head, Joe has emerged with a collection of new music. The songs, recorded by Antonia Gauci at Golden Retriever studios, feature work from Sydney musicians Lucy Warriner (Sweetie, Mega Fauna) and Dominic Breen.
