Joel Walkenhorst, Born 8th January 1982 in Hamilton Victoria Australia, was introduced to music at the age of 5, being part of the school brass band and musicals. With a thirst for music, he ventured into other instruments, one being the guitar and eventually forming a band called Tunza, where he first started writing his own original music influenced by the likes of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Silverchair. Being of a very driven nature and keen to learn the ropes of the music industry, he became intrigued in what makes music good, and how it is made, investigating sound production, song structure and the instruments used. At the age of 22 he realised there was room for development, he spent the next 2 years in Melbourne Vic working on his vocal technique and recording work using a small home studio with software Cubase and Fruity- Loops.
