The ‘Jogaroos’ are a fresh and exciting new acoustic/folk band consisting of members from Australia, Indonesia and the UK. They formed in 2010 during a period of study exchange in Jogjakarta, Indonesia, – the band name being an abbreviation for ‘Jogja-kangaroos’. The ‘Jogaroos’ have since recorded an album of original material, performed in many venues throughout Jogjakarta, and have been heard on the airwaves via Swaragama FM (Jogjakarta), and C91.3 (Sydney). Dyah ‘Mita’ Pandam Mitayani has been singing since her youth, developing a wide vocal range with the ability to create catchy, blissful melodies and poetic lyrics as if it were second nature. Mita’s influences include singer/songwriters Feist and Frau. Besides her hidden talents on ukulele and the violin, Yasmin ‘Yassi’ Winnett provides a soulful voice to blend perfectly into the band’s sound. Yassi’s soft, whisky tones rival that of any seductive, French folk singer. Rounding off the trio of vocal princesses is Katrina ‘Kat’
