Formed in 2021, Johnny Seagull and the Hot Chips play the songs of Louisville, Kentucky Native Johnny Seagull. Mixing Seagull's love of all things 60s with some 90s baggage, the trio percolates a potent brew of garage rock & soulful psychedelia mixed with CBGBs era punk & grunge, all grounded in Seagull's earthy roots. Taught by Television's Richard Lloyd and formed through years playing New Orleans' clubs, Seagull tosses off carefree guitar leads with abandon. Meanwhile, the Hot Chips of Sandy Cenin on drums & vox and Amr Zaid (ex Ratcat) on bass bring the garage with feeling. Check their debut ep and catch them live soon!
