Born and raised in South Australia, Johnny Zappia grew up in a musical family. Johnny formed and fronted the Adelaide based new metal band 'Nun Nicer', before becoming frontman for the band Impartial. With his brothers Dan and Will by his side, Impartial toured Australia and supported acts such as Karnivool, The Birds of Tokyo, Dead Letter Circus and The Amity Affliction. Since forming in 2004, Impartial released 2 EPS & a full length album 'The Spare Room', which was distributed by Green Media/ MGM. Johnny's musical influences have always been very broad, but he has now adopted a stripped back song writing style. His acoustic guitar laiden tracks and soulful melodies are already starting to gather attention. For now, Johnny Zappia continues to enjoy writing and producing his own tunes himself at home with view to form a backing band and take it to the live stage.
