Needing a desperate break from their studies at the University of Sydney, Aaryan Pandit and Tejasva Saboo decided to form a group therapy session for just themselves. Eventually, complaining became monotonous, so they decided to do it in song. With one having a taste for three-chord pop-punk classics, and the other for sophisticated pop-rock music, Jojoba classifies itself as a pop duo, with their style being influenced by but not limited to these sounds. Their first single Facial Deformities (Pretty as a Picture) is the perfect example of the duo's individual musical styles combining to make a catchy, euphonic foot-tapper.
