Jon Doe is the antagonist to his own graphic novel. He moves through his songs page to page, writing his own bildungsroman through an internal battle. His music is an amalgamation of everything he’s learnt from comics, films and music. It’s a stream of observations and ideas, inspired as much by the stories of others as his own. His tone is reposed and reflective. It’s a voice influenced by artists like Earl Sweatshirt and MF; the same impassive flow and energy and the same will to refresh a music environment that is ageing. Jon Doe is deep like the ocean he was raised by. https://soundcloud.com/subliminal-thoughts-1 https://vimeo.com/103286200
