Jon Marshall Alexander took his name from American rhythm and blues singer Johnny Ace who died in the mid-1950s of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound. Jon Marshall Alexander grew up in outback Queensland in the 1980’s and 90’s. His music stemmed from a Country music singing father who took the family many places to perform. Growing up around the beauty of vinyl records and Albums, he recalls the family car and home constantly playing music the likes of classic Australian singer/songwriters John Williamson, Slim Dusty, Tex Morton, Kevin Bloody Wilson to American outlaws Waylon Jennings, Bobby Bare, Guy Clark George Jones and of course Johnny Cash.
