It all began when my older sister was dating a hilarious and wicked cool hippie from saltspring named Ryan. Ryan was into guitar and being bad ass... Being the awkward fat 14 year old that I was, I thought him busting out these oldschool slayer riffs was the coolest thing I had ever seen.. and heard ! So; I took up guitar :) I was born on metal, only to fall in love with acoustic.I will always be a hard rocker in my heart, and I refuse to let hard rock die on acoustic which makes me proud to say; I put on a 1 of a kind show. People often don't know who or what to compare it to; aahh just the way I like it! :) Fun Facts about me; To date I have written 80 songs. I play with heart and emotion, if it's a sad song I will almost cry. I love pizza, and bacon, and scalloped potatoes. I'm terrified of heights. Violence makes my tummy sick. It all began as a tone and pitch deaf awkward teenager who fell in love with the guitar and singing. "I always heard the music correctly in my head but what came out wasn't right" For years Jonah worked extremely hard to develop and hone his skills with fingers and his ability to listen and hear music. 11 years on Jonah has an established and forward moving career with all the potential in the world. In 2010 he released his first full album entitled winding. In 2014 Jonah moved to Australia and set up shop singing for local progressive metal band Freethought (freethought.bandcamp.com) Unfortunately the band split up just a few months after Jonah joined the progressive rock band Archetypes . Archetypes was the perfect fit for Jonah on both a companionship and Comradery level as well as a musical level. They are due out for their first full length release in November 2016.
