Described by Happy Mag as "one of the Aussie music scene’s most unique and exciting emerging acts", multi-instrumentalist Jonah Primo is an act worth chasing. His distinctive style is a product of an unusual education. Between studying jazz harmony and composition formally at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Jonah studied abroad in the University of California Santa Barbara. Here he lived in Isla Vista, where garage bands play on the beach, clifftops and house parties all night, every night. The nonstop jamming with these musicians helped imbue a psychedelic flavour to his indie rock. When you combine rock instruments, jazz harmony and folk lyrics with pop arrangements, you get Jonah Primo's genre bending sonic feast, but packaged into catchy sing-along tracks.
