Jonathan Bone’s debut double album ‘How It’ll Be Alright’ (out 25th Nov) is the tale of the songwriter’s journey as an outsider through the upheaval of recent lockdowns, mandates & censorship. “I couldn’t recognise my world. I couldn’t speak freely. I couldn’t play my music. I started writing songs every day about stories I couldn’t ignore. I was angry and sad every time I wrote, a couple of times I cried.” Anchored by Bone’s acoustic guitar stylings the album spans a range of musical genres and moods. From folk-rock to alt-country with touches of punk sensibility, the songs are often tender and always relentless in their demand to give voice to something unspoken. They call for love and compassion in the face of fear and division and pay passionate tribute to the guarding of freedom. An east coast tour with city and country shows to launch the album begins in November.
