Emerging from Goulburn with a powerhouse voice and a passion for country rock, Jordi Woods is working to carve out his place in the Australian music scene. A 2024 graduate of the prestigious Academy of Country Music, he honed his craft alongside some of the industry’s best, including Jayne Denham, Anthony Snape, Lyn Bowtell, and legendary folk act The Bushwackers. Jordi’s journey in music began more than a decade ago, fronting his high school band, The Young Colts, where his soaring vocals caught the attention of local audiences. Performing at festivals like Vibesfest and Winterfest, he built a reputation for dynamic live performances. His dedication to music was recognised by his school, awarding him the Contribution to Creative Performing Arts honour. Jordi now balances his day job with his commitment to his musical career. Under the guidance of 10-time Golden Guitar winner Lyn Bowtell, two-time Golden Guitar Finalist Hayley Jensen and the Hume Conservatorium, he continues to study vocals while making his way as a solo artist. A sought-after performer, Jordi has shared the stage with industry heavyweights, including The Bushwackers and Amber Lawrence, and has played at major events such as Dallas Down Under, Rodeo Bullarama, A Day on the Green, Neville Country Muster and Sunset Sounds, where he was named One to Watch. His performances at local wineries and the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre have further cemented his status as an artist "to watch".
