Josiah
Josiah is a 23 year old singer/song-writer based in the Central Coast, NSW. A prolific song writer, Josiah unravels his experiences in narratives set against an atmospheric backdrop of ethereal guitar compositions and sweeping melodic soundscapes. Drawing influence from Matt Corby, Ben Howard, Tom Mische and the like- Josiah has refined and developed his sound to capture the emotion he so readily brings to his music.

Not much happens in Boonah. Nestled in the Scenic Rim an hour west from Brisbane, there's one main street littered with three pubs, four bottle-shops and a handful of nosy locals. Here, time moves slowly. It is in this sleepy town that young acoustic artist Josiah Hayton has honed his craft, spending time reflecting and watching the world go by. Josiah's songs tread the lines between alternative, rock and indie genres with nods to his influences Chet Faker, Ed Sheeran and Pete Murray. He also likes to experiment with hip hop and dance genres. Josiah has been a regular at youth festivals, cafes and open mics around South East Queensland for the past two years. He now lives in Brisbane and is making his way into the music industry.
