Melbourne five-piece Junior Fiction make unapologetically jubilant pop music. Their second album Your Love out mid 2020 is the result of a rich songwriting period for the band, which comprises members of fellow Melbourne stalwarts the Tropes, Dianas and Plaster of Paris. Musically, things have locked in to place on this record, which was recorded in a home studio in Pascoe Vale by producer/mixer/mastering extraordinaire Chris Korczynski. Mclean has a knack for assembling collectives of brilliant musicians. Fellow founding member Sam Gaul's guitar lines sparkle throughout the album like a slightly softened Television. The warm vibrato hum of Cody Scarff's organ adds a 70s flair. Drummer Annetta Nevin (Dianas) brings a rolling rhythmic energy like few others can. Newest addition Sarah Blaby (Plaster of Paris, Double Vanity) replaces Rob Andrews on bass (Andrews plays bass on the album) and joined just in time to bring some exquisitely sunny backing vocals into the mix. Junior Fiction and Roolette Records are proud to release Your Love on 12" vinyl LP pressed locally in Melbourne/Naarm set to be launched mid 2020
