Justin Livesay began his music journey after receiving his first guitar at twelve years old. With a daring imagination and heightened vision he wrote his first song “The Iron Lady” based on the protests against Margaret Thatcher. At the age of seventeen, Justin began his career preforming a gruelling residency five nights a week at the Onetangi Hotel, Waiheke Island, New Zealand. He recorded and played live at radio BFM in Auckland and toured across New Zealand. Justin continued to write and travelled back to his birthplace, Canada where he performed in various places including Vancouver, New Brunswick and Montreal. During this time Justin created a strong local following and impressed local music media. He then found himself on the path to Australia where he based himself in Sydney and performed in various venues with his band, The Grail.
