KAE Ill Quintin is the ambient electronic hip-hop group from Melbourne with the most elusive front-people ever. The pseudonym KAE iLL comes from the artist’s real initials K.L., and Quintin, well, we only know that it’s not a real name. We know KAE iLL=music/Q=vocals. And that’s enough for us, because the music speaks for itself. Their sound is characterised by drum machine-happy beats and soulful female R&B vocals. Check out their single “Driving Slow” on the band’s Soundcloud. This one is a great example of their ambient, soulful groove, where as “Feeling Good (REMIX) ” shows the band’s club potential. Totally new to performing, KAE iLL Quintin is all about allowing people to finally hear their completely unique sound—it's been bubbling up until it just had to spill out onto the public.
