Since beginning in Sydney, Kallidad has grown rapidly and travelled all across the world performing their trademark mix of shredded Spanish guitar with hard rock. A powerful, easy-to-dance rhythm drives the whole spectacle as the masked mariachis unveil the intricate and powerful guitar melodies and rhythms accompanied by booming drums and percussion. The Sydney trio’s instrumental music has taken them all around the world, with multiple tours in Japan, Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia and Europe. A career highlight was achieved in 2019 when the group performed at the world famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Kallidad has released five albums and performed at major Australian festivals and events including Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.
