One recent comment from a middle aged lady at the Royal Hotel in Bondi (she'd been dancing pretty much all through the show) was "that was great! You made me feel 16 again" - Nice! That's what rock n roll is all about. And it's what we do. Old school rock n roll with a twist of fate. Sometimes politically motivated (in an obscure way) but always striving for entertainment - musical fairy tales for adults. Philby plays a 1979 Rickenbacker 4001 through Trace Elliot occasionally via an Ibanez Tubescreamer, the various occasional members use: Fender guitars, Peavey guitars, Gibson guitars. Tama drums, Yamaha drums, every make of cymbal you can find. Amplification is either Fender twin, Marshall, of a series of Russian made valve heads. FX are a myriad of differing systems depending on the player. The KFC has played many venues in many guises. There's no ego's and no artistic temperament. Everyone's been around the block several times and the pleasure is, always, to play.
