Growing up in country town of Roma, there wasn't much else to do. Music seemed the interesting thing to be doing. I developed a singing voice at a young age and started getting into school musicals. But at age 14, Toowoomba was where I moved to. I then got brought into the music scene there. Instead of musicals, it was heavy metal and grunge instead of the choirs of Roma. I then was asked to become the singer for emo/grunge band 'Mental Blank'. Finally understanding what it was like to be in a band, music became my way of life. But at age 17 the band split up. I missed playing music so I decided to teach myself guitar and write my own songs. Keeping the drummer from 'Mental Blank' to help me out we recorded 'The Midnight Sunset EP' at tinshedproductions. The night of the EP launch at Bon Amici Cafe Toowoomba was also the night we released a music video for the second song on the EP 'The Silence Is So Loud'.
