Karmajar are a brand new Australian band playing both kinds of music – Rock AND Roll! Formed in Newcastle, New South Wales in 2010. Karmajar spent the better part of 2010 honing their sound, drawn from rock legends such as: Nirvana, Oasis, Led Zeppelin and Alice In Chains. 2011 has already seen Karmajar win a place as finalists in the Newcastle Heat for Global Battle of the Bands on only their third gig. The boys also appeared at Surfest, Newcastle’s biggest annual surfing competition and are already being recognised by punters for their passion for music. Karmajar are in the pre-production stage for their debut release and currently working on plans to reach international shores, following in the footsteps of their legendary idols, via the old fashioned way of playing good rock music.
