With various solo and collaborative feathers to her cap, Kate Eve has been identified as having the “x factor”, inducing affectionate devotion from audiences wherever she plays. 2008 has already seen The Kate Eve Collective launch the album, Phenomenology, play for The Brunswick Music Festival, The Clifton Hill Hotel, and The Cornish Arms, The Espy and Ruby’s as well as Kate playing many solo gigs around Melbourne and Adelaide. Outstanding provider of solid foundational rhythm and drive is drummer, Craig Edwards; a player drawing upon expansive influences and many years experiences in Melbourne’s music scene, enabling a sensitive, responsive band dynamic. Locking in with this bottom end is Michael Thomas, who comes with a background in big band, funk, jazz and originals and a very tasty bass.
