Born in South Australia moved to WA when I was 6 years old. Dad always had music playing, he also taught acoustic guitar to the neighbor’s and my brother and sister. An entertainer all his life alongside some of the greats in Country Music of Australia. – That’s another story in itself. I first started singing when I heard Norma Kelly at the East Perth Hotel – WA Country Music club. She was my idol and still holds a tremendous part of my heart to this day, together with my late Dad – Clem O’Dea who recently passed during the COVID19 scenario. We would travel every Monday night to go to the WA Country Music club, it moved from East Perth to the Charles, which is where I first decided I wanted to sing. My first song was Funny Face, I remember it like it was today. That’s what kicked off my passion for music. Dad formed our first band when I was 13 and told me I had to learn to play the bass, which I did, not so confidently as I wanted to sing more so, but that was the condition.. So I played bass and was the lead singer alongside my Dad in Amber Highway. Marriage, family came along, new homes and work, held me back a little, but I definitely have no regrets as I have the most amazing family, 2 beautiful daughters, 3 grand daughters and 2 amazing son in-laws all supported by my Husband Barry. Today my passion is to continue in bringing the legacy of my Dads original music to life, letting everyone hear is true passion in Country music, his country Australia and life. Together with myself growing further as a musician and artist in songwriting.
