KATIE are a four piece rock / acoustic rock band from Melbourne’s outer suburbs. The band was born from the solo career of singer / songwriter Katie Vanderzaag and has recently taken on a new direction, a new image and an edgier sound. As a band they have been together for the past two years gaining experience playing at various venues and festivals both in Melbourne and interstate, as well as developing a close friendship that is evident when they are performing on stage. KATIE list their wide range of musical influences as anything from Missy Higgins to Radiohead, but at the same time they pride themselves on their unique, original sound.
