KEITH STONE
Bio history
“An amazing player” – Steve Vai The Creature from Outer Bass, a distinctive live act that merges virtuosic musicianship with dark comedy, speculative science, and theatrical spectacle. The Creature from Outer Bass is the creation of Keith Stone — a founding figure in Melbourne fusion and a pioneer of independent Australian music. Stone conjures what audiences have described as “hard to believe new sounds,” blurring the boundaries between music, theatre, and science fiction. Joined by his son Daniel Stone on drums, the duo delivers a high-impact live performance that challenges assumptions of what two musicians can generate on stage. The show is equal parts technical mastery, narrative absurdism, and sci-fi-charged provocation. Keith Stone’s career spans landmark appearances on Hey Hey It’s Saturday and Countdown, extensive national radio play, and international recognition, including coverage in American Guitar Player Magazine.
