Kendal started her love for music at age 6 on a Yamaha PSR2 keyboard originally bought for her older sisters. Rocking out the ad-lib and playing melodies to the pre-tuned songs on the keyboard, her folks knew it was probably time to get her some lessons. At age 8 she took interest in her father's main instrument - the guitar. Although the self-taught basics were achieved at this young age, it wasn't until moving to Townsville at age 12 that Kendal really took on guitar. Kendal then gained an interest in singing and began entering country music festivals. These years were quite successful, with Kendal competing and winning prizes all over North Queensland and down to Brisbane and Tamworth festivals. Kendal has also been involved in many local events, including performing the national anthem at the Townsville Crocodiles home game, singing in front of a packed Cowboys home game crowd, and more recently singing at the Townsville Muster alongside artists such as Adam Brand, Travis
