'Out Of My Way' is the debut single by singer-songwriter Kevin Marchant. A song about 'getting out of your own head', it explores self-discovery and getting away from being your own worst critic. Taken from the EP of the same name, Kevin Marchant is an emerging singer-songwriter from Melbourne whose music conveys a sense of vulnerability. Poignant and thought-provoking lyrics combined with a 'Brit Pop' sound tell the story of his life experiences. His musical influences include bands such as Oasis, The Charlatans and Keane as well as 'Modern Acoustic Folk' artists such as David Gray and James Blunt. Through his music, he professes " I don’t know all the answers, but I hope my experiences expressed through my lyrics will help one person, somewhere out there in the digital universe, and I hope that one person is you."
