Born and raised in Harlem, New York, Kid Mac came to Australia in 1996 to join his father, NBL great Darryl McDonald (D.Mac). He became part of the TMV Family in 2005, as part of Melbourne based hip hop group ‘Six Aces’. Kid Mac is a storyteller who writes and recites all his lyrics which feature a lot of word-play and for the most part, are light-hearted, playful and humorous. In the studio, he’s likened to hip hop royalty JayZ, for his ability to walk into a studio without writing anything down and walking out with a song done. His ability write well and quick has left him with a truck load of material. Note: His shirt always matches his shoes.
