I was born in Ireland and I was singing before I was talking. I can still remember the lyrics to a song I wrote when I was four. Apparently I used to get bored at Sunday mass as a toddler and run around the church interrupting the sermons singing whatever at the top of my voice. I picked up my dad's old guitar at age 11 and immediately tried to put music to lyrics. I wrote absolutely crap songs until the murder of a teenage friend of my family gave me something real to write about. Since then, songwriting became a true expression of my feelings and thoughts. I played often at churches and school events as a kid. I played my first bar gig when I was 15. It went pretty well although a lot of my friends got kicked out for being underage! During uni, I played a mix of gigs and parties. I also picked up the piano and some other random instruments. I came to Australia after a long bout of unemployment and arrived in Melbourne with nothing to my name except a guitar. I lived by busking
