Inspired by the old-time soulful tunes of artists such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, as well as more contemporary roots and rock artists, Kirsty has been playing her original tunes around various venues in Australia for the past 15 years. She has been a semi-finalist in the Bluesfest Competition at Bluesfest, and has also participated in charity initiatives including Busk for a Cure, a project to raise funds for cancer research. More recently Kirsty has been honing her producing skills.
