Kissing the Blue Lady

Not since Dylan went electric has folk been this sexy. These femme fatales are no ordinary angels, their dueling harmonies, emotive lyrics, and acoustic stylings draw attention to an underworld that we'll never see on Channel 9. Addiction. Perversion. The sounds of empty, open roads to unexplored beaches, of a sequestered school bus who's only destination is adventure, these are stories of Australian cities played out on some lost highway. It could be that the open road is the only home for the adventurous Danielle, former schoolteacher, former central-coaster, former Sydney-sider, current vocalist and guitarist. Hers is a perennial outsiders’ view of hope amongst cities in decay, a rolling stone that writes postcards from the edge – from the fervor of Cut an addict's "get out, get out" refrain, to the rebellion against the concrete morals of religion, of glass towers, these are rallying calls to a disaffected generation who's only escape has been to keep moving. And why stop now?
