Multi-award nominated QLD artist Leah Chynoweth-Tidy created her project Kissing The Flint (‘creating a spark’) to cut through the fakery of the modern world. Authenticity and emotion run through her songwriting, storytelling and live performance to connect, energise and empower. Her style flows from an adventurous spirit with crystal clarity of message and vivid imagery drawn from experience, empathy and imagination. She moves easily from roots beauty to sassy rock raunch in explorations of the human condition, a genuine desire to empower others and a lifelong affinity with the natural world. Honing live performance chops in cover bands from 2012, Leah focused more on her original song-writing from 2015. QMF’s ‘Songs That Made Me’ 2017 mentorship program formed her 2019 debut EP 'Unconditionality'. She has since released and toured her second project 'Standing On The Fringe of Rooms' in 2024, with her third album 'Rule The World' due for release on tour in Feb 2025.
