Kite is high energy indie pop rock - an amalgamation of flavours, influences and styles; no two songs the same yet with a clearly defined sound that continues to evolve and attract audiences from all fields. Starring a 5-piece band filled with musicians from all walks of life, Kite is headed by ethereal vocalist Jasmine Wilson; equal parts funk, rock, pop, jazz and metal, Kite is as entrancing as they are roof-raising. Sounds like: Kate Bush, Regina Spektor, Florence + The Machine, The Cat Empire, Foo Fighters, Muse. A note from the founding member and lead vocalist: "Jas wanted the name Kite to encapsulate what music means to her: joy – purity – freedom. She thought about her childhood and flying kites was something that captured those feelings. This is what she hopes to create for people – music that taps into pure, heartfelt emotion."
