Klim is the post-punk/new wave project of Melbourne multi-instrumentalist Fin Ramage. It draws influence from the late 70’s and early 80’s greats such as Devo, Kraftwerk, Talking Heads and Joy Division. On their debut EP ‘More Monotonous’ Fin’s vocals (inspired by Lou Reed, Nick Cave and other baritones) are set atop instrumentals of upbeat punk drums, catchy bass lines, 80’s analogue inspired synths and sparsely placed guitar riffs. The result is a sound that's playful and catchy but also occasionally strays into the more dissonant and technical.
