Koan’s years of working or sitting on the back couch’s of recording studios including Melbourne’s Platinum, RBX, Metropolis, and Gotham, plus Sydney’s Paradise Studios, exposed him to a wealth of industry experience and musical talent. He was a young witness to Cold Chisel recording of the famous East album. In the 80’s and 90’s Koan interacted along side the talent of such artists as John Farnham, Kate Ceberano, Rene Gayer, Ian Moss, and brilliant session musicians including the brilliant David Hirschfelder. In the early 90’s Koan was tape op on a project as assistant to U.K. producer John Jacobs, whose client list includes the Beatles, Led Zeplin and Phil Collins. This experience has led Koan to be a talented songwriter.
