Kodey Brims has one foot in reality and the other in her imagination. She crafts songs out of voice memos inspired by the lush world around her. Her lyrics are honest, carefully crafted and introspective, while her melodies weave hints of pop and folk over energetic guitar strumming. “The promising upstart meddles with songwriting in vibrant, visceral ways. At once cut from the singer-songwriter mould, she also flitters over juicy pop hooks and an underlining, utterly subtle blues avenue. She’s a chameleon of the highest order.” - Bee Scott - B-Sides & Badlands A veteran of performing in everyone’s favourite pubs and bars, Brims knows how to entertain an audience. She also knows how to craft a song production that packs a punch. Her most recent single, Got Me Running, took the songwriter to a detour of high energy electro-pop. Experimenting with her sound as an artist, Brims has returned back to her country & folk roots.
