Born in Lebanon, raised in Melbourne, Komorebi was exposed to both Middle Eastern and Western worlds from an early age. Being torn between the two, and feeling unable to belong in either, the burgeoning artist began to carve a culture and sound all his own. Immersed in a breadth of genres, such as Metal, Hardcore/Emo, Hip-Hop, R&B and Arabic Pop and Folk, Komorebi has developed a musical repertoire that could only be accumulated through his unique life experiences. Inspired by artists and bands such as TOOL, A Perfect Circle, The Weeknd, Usher, Silverstein, Wael Kfoury and contemporary Hip-Hop acts, Komo aims to synthesise his tastes to create an artistic style that is unique and inimitable. His trilogy of EPs, beginning with Impending Doom, are a journey through the heart and mind of a tortured young Lebanese-Australian boy, learning to become a whole man.
