Kook Joey is an Australian folk-exotica artist whose music drifts between raw honesty and nostalgic, holiday-tinged daydreams. With reflective lyrics and warm, coastal textures, her songs feel like postcards from another time — equal parts grounding and escapist. She made waves with the release of her debut EP Losing Limits in January 2025, celebrated with a sold-out launch at Punters Club and a set at Port Fairy Folk Festival, alongside support slots for The Grogans, Kim Churchill and Briston Maroney (US). Her latest releases open a new chapter for Kook Joey, stepping further into her own as an artist and leaning into “holiday mode,” where folk storytelling and exotica shimmer together in something fresh and timeless.
